Training Young Men to Preach and Teach the Word
Fall Term: September 3 – November 19, 2025
□ Course Purpose:
To equip young Christian men (6th–12th grade) with foundational skills in Bible study, lesson preparation, and public communication. This course aims to inspire confidence, cultivate discipline in study, and develop the ability to rightly handle the Word of God (2 Timothy 2:15).

□ Core Learning Objectives:
- Develop strong Bible study habits using concordances, dictionaries, and digital tools.
- Learn how to exegete scripture and craft biblical outlines for teaching or preaching.
- Practice applying scripture to real-life scenarios and relevant topics.
- Gain confidence in public speaking and classroom communication.
- Understand how to conduct one-on-one Bible studies effectively.
- Demonstrate growth through practice teaching and peer/mentor feedback.
□️ Teaching Format & Materials:
- Weekly 60-minute sessions (Wednesdays 6–7 PM)
- Zoom sessions (with one recurring link)
- Two in-person workshops: Sep 24 and Oct 22
- Lesson packets with slides and objectives provided in advance
- Access to archived recordings and recap materials
□ Student Evaluation:
- At least one practice teaching or devotional required
- Evaluated using a structured rubric
- Completion certificate awarded at end of course
□□ Instructor Notes:
- Use standardized templates provided
- Model sound interpretation and encourage active participation
- Coordinate with curriculum team for lesson materials and support
□ Future Planning:
- Adult and young ladies’ tracks under consideration
- Potential for regional collaboration with other congregations
- Ongoing archiving and curriculum development planned
